Interviews are done with a trained and certified Gatherer via the phone, Zoom, or in-person. The Gatherer records and guides the conversation, asks meaningful questions, and then uploads your story.

Correspondence is through email with a Personal Story Mentor (not AI, we are human!) who will connect and send you suggested questions based on topics you selected. You respond back with your answers via email or a form. Your Story Mentor may also suggest different topics or sending in photos to be woven into your book, that will help enhance your story.

Record Your Stories uses your phone apps to record your stories and you upload them to your secure portal. No interview needed. We provide you with suggested questions and topics to help you with your stories.

We have several options available during the layout and printing stage of the book. At the beginning you select if you want it to be written in 1st Person (using "I", usually best for one person) or 3rd Person (using "we, he, she", usually best for a book with several Storytellers.

We weave your book with the stories and the pictures for your edits and approval.

Once the content is approved, we begin doing the publishing layout. In most cases, we use a collage of some of your photos, and a color you select for the cover of your book. You will approve a copy of the book before we send it to the printer.

All books are printed in color with your pictures woven into the stories and delivered directly to you.

Absolutely! One book is included, but after you approve the book, you can order additional copies at $39 a piece and they will all be sent to you in your initial order.

After it is printed, you will get a link to share with friends and family to order more copies.

Once your book contents are edited and you approve them, it generally takes just a few days to prepare your book and cover for the printer. You’ll also have the opportunity to approve the final layout before publishing. The book will ship directly from the printer in the US to your home. If reviews and approvals are completed in a timely manner, the entire process is usually 3 - 4 weeks.

Sometimes we have to wait a few months (depending on your plan) because we need enough pages to actually bind your book. Our professionally laid-out books with photos require at least 50 pages to bind correctly (150+ pages if you want a title on the spine). Fifty pages, plus photos, are generally about 15,000 words or 2 hours of audio/video. If we don't have enough content, we can't properly publish your book, though your E-book can be downloaded at any time.

You can get your hardcover color book published with our subscription plans as soon as you hit the minimum months or content requirements.
